Announcement of Summer Clerks

Our firm (Osaka office) is planning to hold a summer clerkship for those who will take the bar exam in 2025 (including those who have already passed the bar exam and are scheduled to take the 79th legal apprenticeship).

If you are interested in participating, please read the following information and apply.

◇ Application period Until the end of Summer Clerk

 

Applicants must have passed the bar exam in 2025 (including those who have already passed the bar exam and are scheduled to take the 79th legal apprenticeship).

 

◇ Contents

Research, review, drafting, and discussion of legal issues based on actual cases, etc., participation in in-house study sessions, tours of the office, discussions with attorneys, etc.

 

◇ Duration (all in 2025)

Monday, 8/25 - Tuesday, 8/26

Thursday, 8/28 - Friday, 8/29

(3) 9/1 (Mon.) - 9/2 (Tue.)

Monday, Sept. 8 - Tuesday, Sept. 9

Two days of any of the above (1) to (4)

However, please note that we may not be able to meet your request due to scheduling reasons.

 

◇ Number of participants Approximately 4 persons per session

 

Time (subject to change depending on the situation)

 Day 1: 10:00 - 17:00 approx.

 Day 2: 10:00 - 17:30 approx.

(Lunch will be provided by our office. Dinner will be served after the second day.)

 

Location: Osaka Office (Osaka Dojimahama Tower 4F, 1-1-27 Dojimahama, Kita-ku, Osaka City)

 

◇ Benefits 10,000 yen per day (as a general rule, this will be given on the last day of the program).

Actual transportation expenses will be paid separately (for Shinkansen and limited express train fares, please submit receipts and round-trip reserved seat fees will be paid). Transportation expenses will be paid separately.

Accommodation expenses will not be provided.

Please rank the periods in which you would like to participate in the Summer Clerk program in order of preference.

 

(ii) A copy of transcripts from the law school (available at the time of application)

Please submit a written statement of GPA, if any.

If you do not have a written GPA statement, please calculate it yourself and enter it in the "Law School Grades" section of your resume.

If you are not attending law school, please submit your undergraduate transcripts.

 

(iii) Copy of Preliminary Bar Examination Score Report

Please submit if you have taken the Preliminary Bar Examination.

 

(iv) In addition to (i) through (iii), please send us if you wish to submit a notification of bar examination results, transcripts of university undergraduate studies, transcripts of qualification examinations, and records of achievements in research and extracurricular activities.

If you are selected to participate in the Summer Clerk Program, we will contact you by e-mail or other means. Please note that for administrative reasons, we will only contact those who have been selected to participate in the Summer Clerk program.

■Handling of Personal Information

Personal information obtained by the firm from application documents will be used solely for the purpose of the selection process, the operation and implementation of the summer clerk program including communication regarding hiring and rejection, and other business operations of the firm, and will not be used beyond this scope without the consent of the applicant, except in cases permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and ordinances. We will not use personal information beyond this scope without the consent of the person concerned, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.
